US Archives The California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) is working in partnership with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), Governor's Administration and Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Legislature and Congressional Delegation to secure a fair share of broadband and related-program funding for California from federal economic stimulus American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), see CETF Grant Process menu item ARRA - American Recovery and Reinvestment Act ; CETF ARRA Match Funding Working Statement; California is a Strategic Partner for ARRA; and a Key to Closing the Digital Divide in America.

The ARRA has directed the Department of Agriculture's Rural Utilities Service (RUS) Broadband Initiatives Program (BIP) and the Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications Information Administration (NTIA) Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) to expand broadband access to unserved and underserved communities across the U.S., increase jobs, spur investments in technology and infrastructure, and provide long-term economic benefits.
