The California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) is pleased to announce that AB1588 (Wilson) – the Affordable Internet and Net Equality Act – passed out of the Assembly Committee on Communications and Conveyance this week. Now, the bill moves to the Assembly Appropriations Committee for a vote on January 18, 2024.
Your Action Needed:
Please join CETF and other Digital Equity stakeholders and send your support for the Affordable Internet and Net Equality Act (AB1588) by submitting an email by noon January 17, 2023 to the Assembly Appropriations Committee members.
Also, spread the word! Share this video on your social media channels to urge California lawmakers to pass the Affordable Internet and Net Equality Act of 2024 (AB1588), while also thanking key members of the Assembly Committee on Communications and Conveyance for their “aye” vote.
