Southeast Community Development Corporation (SCDC) is on target to achieve 5,000 new or reconnected broadband adoptions among low-income, Spanish-speaking clients. With a $1 million annual budget, the nonprofit has grown into a regional workforce training powerhouse focusing on broadband adoption and digital literacy education for underserved residents in Southeast LA County. In partnership with other nonprofit organizations, it has established several regional computer centers to provide free computer access to the residents and operates a regional technology center providing basic and advanced digital workforce literacy classes, computer refurbishment, e-waste collection, and low-cost computer resales.
