Frontier Digital Access Project
This Grant supports the participation of the California Community Action Partnership (CalCAPA) in the partnership between the California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) and Frontier Communications, Inc. to achieve a total 50,000 new broadband adoptions among low-income households in the Frontier service areas. CalCAPA and its partners are connecting 3,000 low-income families to affordable home Internet service. CalCAPA is working within the community action agency members in Northern California to reach low-income residents and hard to reach populations. Additionally CalCAPA is collaborating with existing partners like the grassroots network within each community such as: Head Start programs and schools that serve low-income families to reach its goal. The grant was awarded in July 2019 for $180,000 to achieve 3,000 adoptions.
