Institutionalization of Digital Inclusion
This Grant supports the East Los Angeles College Foundation (ELAC) to close the Digital Divide by helping community college students move out of poverty. The $10,000 grant, awarded in November 2018, is to provide information on affordable home Internet offers through the distribution of 30,000 fliers to achieve 333 adoptions. The California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) is joining forces with schools, colleges, universities and public agencies to promote affordable home Internet adoption among low-income students to help them succeed in school.
