Digital Access Project – ABC
This Access, Broadband, Connect Grant enables the Southeast Community Development Corporation (SCDC) to promote access to affordable home Internet in Los Angeles County to help meet the California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) goal of 500,000 adoptions by 2022. The $120,000 grant awarded in July 2018 is to achieve 1,000 adoptions. SCDC focuses on broadband adoption, outreach and digital literacy education for underserved, Spanish-speaking communities. In partnership with other non-profit organizations, SCDC has established several regional computer centers to provide free computer access to area residents. SCDC operates a regional technology center in the City of Bell that provides basic and advanced digital literacy classes, computer refurbishment, e-Waste collection, and low-cost computer resales.

Frontier Digital Access Project
This Grant enables the participation of Southeast Community Development Corporation (SCDC) in the partnership between the California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) and Frontier Communications, Inc. to increase awareness and adoptions to help meet CETF program goal of 50,000 adoptions by 2021. The $300,000 grant awarded in July 2016 for $300,000 is designed to achieve 5,000 adoptions. SCDC will achieve 5,000 broadband adoptions among low-income eligible clients. SCDC is managing the computing device distribution program after confirming a new Internet subscription. SCDC focuses on Internet adoption, outreach and digital literacy education for underserved, Spanish- speaking communities.
