It’s going to take movement of Digital Champions to close the Digital Divide in the Quest for Digital Equity. That is why we are supportive of the California Department of Technology (CDT) and wanted to share information with the CETF network so that leaders, such as yourselves, are aware and can participate.
The State of California is launching a major effort to prepare the Digital Equity Plan and Broadband Equity Access Deployment (BEAD) Plan to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Commerce National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) pursuant to the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) so that California can seek federal funding for broadband deployment and adoption.
